Utara - Handmade Luxury Soap
About Us
Ripe Mangosteen Fruit!Utara is the Indonesian and Malay word for north.  It is believed that the mangosteen originated in the Utara Moluccas of Indonesia.  Utara was founded in the small town of Kilauea on  the North Shore of Kauai by Amy Arnett-Smith. Amy lives in Kilauea with her Husband, Brad Smith, and their children Vivian, 17 years old and Rollin, two years old.  This is where they run their family farm, Viva Rain Farms. The farm contains a wealth of exotic fruits such as Longan, Rambutan, Avocado, Chiku, and  mangosteen of course. After much research into the health benefits of the rind of mangosteen, Amy decided to make soap with it.  She has come up with a wonderful recipe that people really LOVE!!! Amy has been selling it around the island at farmers markets and stores with much success.
Her company is based on the belief that our customers' needs are of the utmost importance. Our entire team is committed to meeting those needs. As a result, a high percentage of our business is from repeat customers and referrals.

We welcome the opportunity to earn your trust and deliver you the best service in the industry. This site will be an easy way for you to always be well stocked with this amazing hand crafted mangosteen soap. It makes great gifts too!!!
